HOME MADE COCONUT SHAMPOO INGREDIENTS: 1/2 cup coconut milk 2/3 cup castile soap 2 teaspoons oil (I use coconut) Mix all of the ingredients in an empty shampoo bottle or jar and shake.  You can keep it in the shower for one to two months, but seriously? It will be gone before then! I love this recipe because I know what I am putting in my hair!  I have naturally curly hair, and it is a nightmare! The more I can do to keep it hydrated, the better. This is a GREAT shampoo, and leaves your hair smelling amazing! If you want to add some essential oils feel free! Let us know What you used and how good the smell turned out!

I will be the first to say WOW! These scrubs I swear by. I have been asked on multiple occasions if I will make them for people, and in all honesty...they are SO EASY TO MAKE! If you have read any of my other posts you will be able to tell I am a big fan of coconut oil. When I was introduced to this product I didn't know I would turn out obsessed!  OK. I have 2 Recipes for ya'll  =) Keep in mind, you can fiddle with the recipe if you feel as if something will work better for ya! Vanilla-Honey Scrub- Well, the title pretty much says it. You will need Vanilla extract, Honey, brown or white sugar, and yes, coconut oil.  (I have two of these sitting in my bathroom. Super Simple, Super Scent, Super Nourishing... What can get better than SUPER, SUPER, SUPER?? I know! NOTHING!! What do you need to get the best body butter that heals anything I've ever put it on? Coconut Oil... Yup, That's it! Get a bowl, a mixer, and a big clump of coconut oil. Whip it, and you're done!

I like my concealer to be lighter than my foundation, also with any sort of green tint helps tremendously to cover those red spots (I use Spirulina) Make a loose powder  Foundation , and add my  Body Lotion  to make a creamy consistency.  (Personally, I like my concealer to be more creamy and my foundation I prefer to be loose powder).  Once thick enough to cover those imperfect spots put in container with lid.  You may want to make it a bit thicker to use as a primer. I just use Spirulina,cornstarch, a pinch of cocoa powder, and some of my homemade lotion.

No stinging, No super oily face afterwards? I call that a win! Easy Peasy Recipe: Equal parts of- Witch Hazel, any oil (I prefer coconut oil for just about anything), and filtered water. Can't say it gets any better than that!

I remember when I was younger and has the best tan ever, then I grew up (and became reliant on my jeans) and now I have some super white legs.  With this Super easy and Super cheap homemade self-tanning spray I'm back in my shorts. =) Supplies- 4 black tea bags 2 cups boiling water Sponge or spray bottle (Either sponge it on or spray it on and rub in) Put the 2 cups of water in a pot and bring it to a boil, turn the stove off and put the 4 tea bags in and leave for 10 to 15 minutes. If using a sponge, soak it in the tea and wipe all over your body.  If using a spray bottle, fill it and spray on your body and rub in. Let your skin dry and then apply another coat if you want a darker shade.  For a warmer tan: Cocoa powder Body lotion If you want that extra warm glow in your color, slowly mix a little bit of cocoa powder at a time with a handful of body lotion. When your are comfortable with the light brown color, apply it all over your skin.

I've found that making my own makeup has not only saved me money, but also helped my skin. I like using a cleaned out or new spice container for my loose powders. You just simply shake once, open the lid and take your powder from the lid. For Loose Powder- Mix together then store in a spice jar, make-up container, or an old compact.  Pressed Powder- If you want to make it a more solid base so that only a little sticks to the brush, use a few drops of essential oil or rubbing alcohol to mix with the powder and push down in a compact. This will make it hard like a regular compact. Creamy/ Liquid- If you want a more creamy product, add  some homemade or scent free lotion, petroleum  jelly, or coconut oil. (I prefer coconut oil, I whip it with my little handheld mixer before adding. It makes for a much easier application). Store in jar with lid or pump. This is for OILY skin-  For combination or Dry skin omit the alcohol Clean Empty Plastic Bottle 1/2 Cup Fresh Squeezed Lime Juice 2/3 Cup Witch Hazel 1 Cup Water 2 Tbsp Rubbing Alcohol Juice the lime and strain any pulp and seeds from the juice. You should be able to get 1/2 cup of juice from one good sized lime, if they are smaller you may need two.  Funnel all ingredients into the clean plastic bottle.  Shake well.  Apply to CLEAN SKIN twice a day. Make sure you shake the bottle before each use.  Store out of direct sunlight as it will diminish the effectiveness of the toner.

What is a setting Spray? PURE AMAZING-NESS- That's what! I love my Mac Setting spray  ( Fix + ), but to spend $21 for a 3.4 oz bottle? I knew there had to be a way to DIY. Setting sprays are always great to have for a quick grab in the summer, when it feels like your face is melting off.  One simple spray and you're good. (I always keep a to-go spray bottle in my purse. Around $.97 at Walmart) I am sure you all know, bottom line, Glycerin = Sugar. Don't be scared yet. With the sugar water diluted you won't end up having syrup on your face- Also, Make sure that you  DO NOT SPRAY TOO CLOSE TO YOUR FACE. A simple spray about elbows length away is enough.  Using this recipe you can change the scent to whatever you like!  Personally, I like using Filtered Rose Water (it's mild, and has a great scent)-  If you have redness in your skin the rose water will help.
